New Blackpool cafe brews up 12 jobs
Around 12 jobs have been created with the opening of a new Costa in Blackpool.
The cafe in Devonshire Road is on the site of the nearby KFC car park.
It is owned by a franchise from London Cuppacoff Ltd which also has the KFC outlet.
Lucy Schofield who is overseeing the new cafe and training the incoming manager is also from the KFC.
She said: “It is very exciting to be opening this new Costa.
“It is a medium sized Costa with 10 seats outside and 42 inside. We have created 12 new jobs and all are new starters not transfers from other stores in the franchise.
“It is one of the new style Costa’s with a bright airy design which is branded Atlas and we are one of the first in the country.
It has full length windows and is very child friendly.
“We have the outside terrace seating, which for summer mornings is lovely to have a coffee before work.
“This is the first for the franchise in Blackpool. The other Costas Cuppacoff has are in Yorkshire and Scotland.
“We are open from 7am to 8pm Monday-Saturday and 9am-8pm on Sunday and parking is free.”
