Residents are being urged to help nurture a Blackpool beauty spot.
A new Friends of Marton Mere group is being formed to support the work currently being undertaken at the nature reserve.
The reserve is undergoing a £368,000 makeover, thanks to Heritage Lottery Fund and The Veolia Environmental Trust.
Improvements being carried out at the site include habitat works, updated paths and signage, bird hides and a new visitor centre which it is hoped will open next month.
The Friends of Marton Mere group will be supporting these improvement works, promoting the site and fund-raising to help make a great nature reserve even better.
The first meeting has already been held but more information is available from Annie Heslop, Marton Mere Project Officer at firstname.lastname@example.org or call 07469 038520.
