Mysterious hero leaves Barb wired
Barb Worthington (pictured), 55, lost her wallet while on a day trip in Blackpool last Tuesday – but it was delivered to her house safe and sound two days later.
Barb, who lives in Biddulph Moor, Stoke-on-Trent, said her purse must have accidentally fallen out in Lytham Road car park as she helped her disabled mother-in-law out of the car.

“I didn’t find out until I had got home that night.
“We came home on Thursday evening and a jiffy bag had been posted to me with my purse inside, but without a clue as to who sent it.”
The purse contained Barb’s driving licence and photographs of her mum, Evelyn, who died from liver cancer 20 years ago, as well as pictures of her two daughters when they were children.
She now hopes to track down the ‘Good Samaritan’ who returned it so she can say thank you.

“I thought it was very kind and honest. I just wish they had put their address, but that shows that they haven’t done it for a reward, they have returned it out of the goodness of their heart.”
