I didn't think life could get much better than being a toddler surrounded by a house full of toys.

That was until it rained for what felt like two months non-stop and I realised even toddlers can get cabin fever.

Sometimes there is just nothing like getting out for walk in the fresh air.

So with a break in the clouds and our wellies on, William and I enjoyed a care-free walk, exploring everything around us the other day.

We’d been busy splashing in puddles – which is pretty good fun when the puddles are two months worth of rain – when we came across a demolition site.

William stopped in his tracks.

He’s watched Bob the Builder in action with diggers on television and he’s seen diggers parked up on building sites before, but it always seemed to be lunchtime (strange that, eh?).

So this was the first time William had seen a digger in all its glory.

It was quite an impressive sight, watching the huge yellow machine making short work of sections of the once proud TVR buildings.

William looked on in awe from across the road as the digger’s huge mouth clawed away at steel girders and bricks, smashed windows and ripped the roof down.

We stood there for at least half an hour... until the rain clouds opened once more.

But nevertheless, seeing the digger in action so close up gave William a new lease of life with his toy digger at home.

Let’s just hope he doesn’t try and reenact the roof being pulled down!
