An office administrator was more than twice over the alcohol limit when she was involved in a crash on New Year’s Day.
Hayley Leeming smashed into a garden wall, which then collapsed, on Bloomfield Road.
Leeming, a single mother, 34, of Whitegate Drive, Blackpool, pleaded guilty to driving with excess alcohol when she appeared before resort magistrates.
Police went to Bloomfield Road where Leeming had crashed her Mini Cooper into a wall at 2.55am.
A breath test showed 84 micrograms of alcohol in her body – 35 is the limit.
Peter Manning, defending, said his client, who had no previous convictions, had been at work when she received distressing news.
After work, she went to have a drink and also had a cocktail.
A driving ban would be a hardship for her, Mr Manning said, as she had to take her son to school and she worked in Fleetwood.
Leeming was disqualified from driving for 18 months and fined £320.
