This mum-of-two is hoping to prove a real role model, as she is through to the finals of a national beauty pageant.
Stacey Bradley, from Cleveleys, will be taking part in the Miss Highstreet Models competition, after sending her photo in to the contest bosses.
The ultimate winner of the grand final will receive a 12 month modelling contract and all-expenses paid trip to Egypt to compete in the World Finals – Top Model of the World for the chance to win $25,000.
The 24-year-old, who has been modelling professionally for five years, says she is delighted to be through to the finals.
“I couldn’t believe it really. I had previously entered Britain’s Next Top Model, I auditioned last year, but I didn’t get through.
“They told me to come back next season, but in the meantime I had seen the Miss Highstreet Models competition and decided to enter, as they both had the same outcome really for the winners.
“I applied and they asked me to go and audition, but then they contacted me again and asked me to send them some pictures.
“Then they said I was through to the grand finals, in November.
“It’s brilliant and I am really excited about it, but it is a bit mad, like a whirlwind, just how fast it’s happened. I’ve been modelling for five years and I absolutely love it.
“I got into it after one of my friends who did modelling suggested I give it a try. I do work for magazines, promotions, all sorts.
“I do quite a lot of work around Manchester, the Lakes and Preston, but it often does mean some travel.
“It can be long days, but it’s worth it.
“Sometimes my girls, who are six and two come with me, but more often they stay with their dad or with my mum.
“They think it’s all quite exciting.”
Stacey, who is a size 8/10, says she enjoys the variety of different modelling work.
She said: “I like it all, I really enjoy it. I like seeing the pictures after a shoot and the looks which can be created.
“I think my favourite type of the moment is the sort of 1950s look, 50s pin-up style. I love that look.
“Miss Highstreet Models will be my first beauty pageant, so I am not too sure what to expect.
“I’m going to get my hair done by my stylist and already have my evening gown from Twinkle Toes in Cleveleys.
“I’ve chatted to other girls I know who have done these sorts of things before and they’ve been giving me tips and things to remember.
“I’m going to the gym lots between now and then to tone up and look my best.”
