Motorcyclist injured in car collision

A motorcyclist was taken to hospital with neck and back injuries after a crash in Great Eccleston.

Police and ambulance crews were called to the incident around 5.30pm after reports of a collision between a car and motorbike.

An air ambulance is believed to have taken the biker to hospital for treatment.

Mike Charlton, Lancashire police force incident manager said: “A car and motorbike collided.

“The motorcyclist has head and neck injuries and was taken to Royal Preston Hospital.

“The injuries are not thought to be life-threatening.”
