Detectives investigating the murder of Blackpool teenager Paige Chivers have been granted more time to question two men.
The men, aged 45 and 59, from Blackpool, were arrested on Monday on suspicion of murder and attempting to pervert the course of justice.
A court hearing this evening (Tuesday) granted police an extra 36 hours to question the men.
The men were arrested in dawn raids at addresses in Kincraig Place, Bispham and Duncan Avenue, Norbreck.
Both were taken to Blackpool Central Police Station for questioning.
The investigation is being treated as a ‘no body’ murder.
Paige was just 15 when she was last seen in Bispham on August 23, 2007.
The former Montgomery High School pupil went missing after an argument with her father Frank, who died last year.
A nationwide search, one of the largest ever conducted by Blackpool and Lancashire Police, was launched following her disappearance.
The teenager, who would now be 22, had never left Blackpool before and did not have a passport at the time of her disappearance.
