THE Fylde’s ice-king will be making another comeback next month after his last skating school was a complete sell-out.
Dan Whiston and friend and fellow Dancing on Ice star Karen Barber got their skates on and ran sessions last week at Sub Zero in Cleveleys.
And they proved so popular the pair are returning next month.
They were offering coaching designed for skaters of all abilities and ages and the skating schools proved so popular every one sold-out.
Dan, two-times winner of Dancing on Ice, said: “It was really cool, we really enjoyed it.
“It all sold-out, so we have agreed to do some more schools in July.
“It was great and we can’t wait to come back and do it again.”
Dan and Karen will be back on the ice on July 11, 12 and 13.
The school involved different sessions including one session a day which was only for adults, to try to encourage those who might be new to skating and nervous, to give it a try.
And the sessions proved to be a big hit and were very popular with local children during the half-term holiday.
It has been a busy summer for Dan, from Poulton, so far – he was invited to the Queen’s Garden Party at Buckingham Palace in May and is preparing to take part in the Olympics closing ceremony in August.
Anyone who would like to take part in the sessions, or private lessons with Dan and Karen, can book by calling Sub Zero on (01253) 822254.
