Scorton Steam is back again this weekend with something for all the family.

But the old timers – the steam exhibits, that is, not the grown ups! – have some stiff competition at the North West’s biggest gathering of its kind.

All eyes are definitely going to be on the Big Pete Monster Truck team and their massive and thrilling smash-up displays.

There are eight categories of vehicles for enthusiasts to admire, including steam, commercials and custom, military, classic, motorcycles, tractors, static engines and models and crafts.

The event is on Saturday and Sunday, from 9am, at Woodacre Farm, Gubberford Lane, Scorton, near Preston.

Adults pay £9, 10-16yr olds and senior citizens £6. Under 10s are free and there is free parking too.

You can grab a bargain by buying advanced tickets at, where you can also arrange a camping pitch.
