MUSICAL teenagers are gearing up for an all-day extravaganza to raise vital funds to support a brand-new drama group.

The ‘All Inclusive’ gig will take place on Spring Bank Holiday Monday and was the idea of 14-year-old Millfield Science and Performing Arts College pupil Jake Mulgrew.

A keen actor and singer, Jake organised the concert to raise funds for Phoenix Youth Theatre (PYT), which has been set up to enable able-bodied and disabled kids to enjoy performing together.

Jake’s band OneFourThree – Andy Buruca, Ashley Parkes and Connaire Mulgrew – helped him organise the concert which will feature a local young bands and singers.

Jake said: “When I first started organising the concert it was just our band, another from our school and one from Fleetwood High. I never expected so many people to offer to help.”

The event is being held at the Cedar Tavern, Blackpool, from 1pm. Phoenix Youth Theatre will hold its first session this Friday from 6 to 8pm at the Frank Town Centre, Beach Road, Cleveleys.
