Missing woman found in Leicester

A MISSING woman who sparked a nationwide police search has been found safe and well.

Kirsten Mathers, 26, was last seen at 9pm on Saturday and failed to turn up on Monday morning to head to the airport for a family holiday to Majorca.

Kirsten was to meet at her parents Donnie and Chrissie’s home on Gregson Close, Marton, on Monday morning, ahead of the trip.

Mr Mathers went to Kirsten’s home in Blackpool and found her car was missing and she had left her mobile phone at the house.

Police established she withdrew money from a cash machine in Preston on Sunday morning, before tracking the former King Edward VII and Queen Mary pupil’s car through Manchester, Sheffield, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire,

She was described as white, of medium build and about 5ft 2in tall.

A Lancashire Police spokesman confirmed she was found safe and well in Leicestershire on Wednesday.
