POLICE are appealing for information after a prisoner went missing from Kirkham prison.

David Dickens, 59, has not been seen since he left HMP Kirkham last Friday having been released on a temporary release licence.

Dickens, who is originally from Merseyside, was serving a 10 year 5 month sentence for drugs offences, which he was convicted of in 2008

He was allowed out on licence to an address in Merseyside but has failed to return to the prison.

It is thought he could be in the Merseyside area but could possibly have fled the country.

He is described as white, around 5ft 8in tall with a thin build and mousey, short hair and blue eyes.

Any sightings should be reported to Lancashire police on 101 or call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
