Police are becoming 'increasingly concerned' for the safety of a Scottish man who disappeared without his medication.
Paul Dowds, 44, from Greenock, has not been seen since August 17 and may be in the Blackpool area.
He takes daily medication that he may not have with him.
Paul is described as about 6ft tall, with a slim build, a shaven head, and a large scar on the right side of his face from his ear to mouth. He has a tattoo of an SAS emblem on his right bicep. He may also be wearing glasses.
Chief Inspector Debbie Reilly of Greenock Police Office, said: "We are becoming increasingly concerned for the safety and well-being of Paul as each day passes without contact. Anyone who has seen Paul or has information about his current whereabouts is asked not to approach him but to get in touch with Police Scotland via 101 as a matter of urgency.
"If Paul sees our appeal I would urge him to contact us or his family or friends."
Anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting the log number 2143 of August 24.
