Missing man dies after being found unresponsive in Stanley Park

A 29-year-old man, who was reported missing in Blackpool, has died say police.

Police were searching for the man who was reported missing from home at around 1.30am on Tuesday, May 8.

He was discovered "unresponsive" at around 5am in Stanley Park and taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital.

Police say the man died a short time later.

A spokesman for the force said: "A man was found unresponsive by officers at Stanley Park.

“He was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital where he was sadly later pronounced dead. “The man has been identified as a 29-year-old from Blackpool who was reported to police as being missing from home earlier in the morning. “His family have been informed."Police say the death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be passed to the coroner.
