Miss England returns to north

Beauty queens will be in the running to become Miss England when the competition returns to the North West for the first time in 11 years.

A total of 50 regional winners, including Miss Lancashire, will arrive in Southport for the three day event on July 19 vying for the crown and the first prize worth £25,000. Since 2005 the national final to find England’s candidate for Miss World has been held in the Midlands, London and Devon.

To celebrate the return of the competition Miss Lancashire Lucy Physick joined current Miss England, Natasha Hemmings at a launch event in Southport on Thursday.
