Trinity Hospice’s ‘Neon Memory Walk’ will see fund-raisers light up Blackpool Promenade with glow bracelets and neon-coloured clothing as they celebrate the lives of those they have lost.

The walk, on September 8, will also raise much-needed cash for the hospice, which relies on donations to continue caring for terminally ill people on the Fylde coast.

The evening will begin at 9.30pm on the Blackpool Tower Festival Headland, where there will be live entertainment and music on stage, before the walk begins at 10.30pm.

People taking part can choose from two marshalled routes of five or eight miles, both starting and finishing at the Comedy Carpet opposite Blackpool Tower.

Entry is now open and costs £10 for both adults and children. Fund-raisers will each receive a Neon Memory Walk T-shirt, glow bracelets, neon-coloured shoelaces, a medal and hot food and drink on the night.

People have until next Tuesday to sign up for the event online. Visit www.trinityhospice.co.uk/events/neon-memory-walk-2018 or call the fundraising team on (01253) 359355.
