Kirkham Grammar Junior School’s girls’ and boys’ athletics teams triumphed at the AJIS North West Athletics Championships staged in Wigan.
The Under-11s and Under-10s teams produced record results, with a bumper haul of medals and an unprecedented number of finalists.
Kirkham claimed eight gold medals in total, along with four silvers and one bronze.
School records were broken by Olivia Huyton for long jump, and Christian Linton and Sam Walmsley for cricket ball throwing.
Huyton also won gold for the Under-11s 60m, and a third as a member of the relay team, which also included Grace Wallace, Beth Heatley and Rachel McCrae.
Linton also took further golfs for the under-10 150m in the relay, teaming up with John Gornall, Will Gargett and Evan Powell
The other gold went to Eve Turner in the Under-10s hurdles.
Silvers were won by Kieran Wilkinson in the Under-11s high jump and 80m, and by Will Gargett in the Under-10s 60m and Emily Smith in the Under-10s high jump.
Under-10s hurdler Max Huyton claimed bronze.
Headmistresss Annette Robert said: “I am exceptionally proud of all the children who took part in this prestigious event. It was wonderful to win so many medals and to break so many records.”
