The Fylde Mayor’s ball is being hailed a big success after raising more than £5,000 for good causes.

The event took place in the Woodlands Suite, at Ribby Hall Village, Wrea Green.

Entertainment was provided by local vocalist Mark Jay.

The money raised from the ball will go towards the Mayor’s chosen three charities for the year.

Among the guests were Mayor of Wyre Coun Terry Lees, Mayoress of Fylde Helen Akeroyd, Deputy Mayor of Fylde Coun Angela Jacques, and Deputy Mayoress of Fylde Sarah Jacques.

The Mayor of Fylde, Coun Christine Akeroyd, said: “I would like to thank everyone who attended the ball to make it such a success and hope they enjoyed the evening as much as we did.

“I would also like to thank everyone who gave donations, to enable the evening to raise the fantastic sum of £5,357, which is in support of the Mayoral charities - Home Start, Kiligrimol Guiding Centre and SSAFA.”
