Man wanted following violent Bispham robbery

This is the face of a suspected knife attacker wanted by police following a violent robbery which left a woman in hospital.

Reece Barker, who is from Rochdale, is wanted after the incident which happened on July 30 at an address on Warbreck Drive in Bispham.

The 53-year-old victim was assaulted with a fire extinguisher and a knife and had £700 and her mobile phone stolen from her.

She suffered multiple stab wounds and had to be taken to hospital for treatment.

The 27-year-old is described as white, 5ft 5ins tall, of large build with short dark brown hair. He has a scar on his chin, a pronounced left ear and a tattoo on his left arm. He has links to Blackpool and Manchester.

DC James Ellis from Blackpool Police said: “If you have seen Barker or know where he is, please get in touch. We would ask the public not to approach him but to contact us instead.

“Similarly if Barker sees this appeal I would urge him to attend the nearest police station.”

The victim is recovering well and was released from hospital the following morning.
