Man up in court on attack charge

A man who is accused of punching another man unconscious at a drinks party in St Annes has made his first appearance before court.

Daniel Carroll, 27, of South Promenade, St Annes, pleaded not guilty to assaulting a man causing him actual bodily harm when he appeared before magistrates.

The offence is alleged to have taken place on September 3 this year.

Carroll was bailed to January 20 for trial by Blackpool magistrates.

He must live at his given address, report to police three times a week and not contact the complainant as conditions of his bail.
