A heartbroken man breached a court order on Christmas Day when he went to his former girlfriend’s home.
Brett Ellis told his ex he wanted to hear from her lips that the relationship was over.
Ellis, 32, of Patlow Road, Leicester, pleaded guilty to breaching a restraining order and damaging his former partner’s front door.
Adrian Hollamby, prosecuting, said in July last year Ellis had been made the subject of a two-year restraining order banning him from contacting his ex.
On December 25, Ellis’s ex was in bed with her new partner. About 2am there was a bang and she looked out to see Ellis on the path.
He was found hiding in Kingscote Park and admitted throwing a brick at the door.
Ellis was sentenced to a 60-day curfew from 7pm to 7am and ordered to pay £200 compensation plus £100 costs with £60 victims’ by Blackpool magistrates.
