A man shouted at his girlfriend in the street and spat towards her.

Cameron Slessor and his partner had started arguing because she believed he had been flirting with another woman in a club.

Slessor, 33, unemployed, of Springfield Road, North Shore, pleaded guilty to behaving in a threatening manner.

He was given a 12 months’ conditional discharge and ordered to pay £85 costs plus £15 victims’ surcharge by Blackpool magistrates.

Prosecuting, Alison Quanbrough said on November 6 at 1.35am police saw the couple shoving each other in Blackpool. After she was spat at the woman asked an officer to take Slessor away.

Brett Chappell, defending, said his client accepted his behaviour that night was appalling and he apologised to all involved.
