Man on multiple child sex charges
A man has made his first appearance at court accused of the historical multiple attempted rape of a girl.
Shaun Fitzpatrick, 55, of Thornber Grove, Blackpool, is charged with three offences of attempting to rape the teenager, which are alleged to have started when she was 13
He is also accused of six offences of indecently assaulting the same girl.

Hide AdThe offences are alleged to have taken place between June 2001 and June 2004 inBlackpool.
Prosecutor, Jim Mowbray, asked for the case to be heard at crown court.
Defence lawyer, Steven Townley, said his client had indicated he would plead not guilty to all the offences.
Fitzpatrick was bailed to appear at Preston Crown Court on February 10 by Blackpool magistrates.
He must not have any unsupervised contact with any child under 16, except for fleeting or inadvertent contact.
