Man is accused of knifepoint robbery

A man accused of carrying out two knifepoint robberies in two days in Blackpool has made his first appearance at court.

Karl Parry, 20, of Lime Tree Close, Liverpool, is charged with robbery at Corton Beech service station, allegedly taking cash and cigarettes valued together at £300 on November 22.

He is also accused of robbery at Bargain Booze off-licence, Central Drive, stealing £400 cash on November 24.

Parry is further charged with two offences of possessing a blade in public.

Parry was remanded in custody to appear at Preston Crown Court on December 22 by Blackpool magistrates.
