Man injured after motorway puncture

The air ambulance was called today after a driver collided with a fence on the M55.

Officers were called to the incident around 3pm today close to Junction 4.

A man was treated by paradmedics after suffering back injuries, but is conscious.

A police spokesman said: “The vehicle’s tyre has blown out. It has lost control and gone into a fence.

“Within 10 minutes the car was on the hard shoulder.

“The junction is now clear and all traffic is moving.”
