A man was taken to hospital with a head injury after being hit by a car in Blackpool this morning.
Police and paramedics were called to Marton Drive, in South Shore, at around 9am.
A man in his 50s suffered “minor injuries” after being struck by a Mercedes C-class, according to police.
He was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital following the accident.
A passer-by reported seeing a large number of police and paramedics on the scene.
A Lancashire Police spokesman said: “We were called to a road traffic collision involving a car and a pedestrian. A man in his 50s was hit.
“The pedestrian had a cut to his head and the ambulance service attended.”
A North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) spokesman said: “We received a call at 9.04am to the Marton Drive area of Blackpool.
“A single patient was taken to Blackpool Victoria Hospital.”
NWAS was unable to provide any further details about the casualty or his condition.
