Man 'in his 60s' rushed to hospital after 'collapsing' on Blackpool street

A man who collapsed on a street in the resort has been taken to hospital for treatment.

Emergency services rushed to reports a man had collapsed in Charnley Road at around 1.45pm today (December 15).

Seven police vans, two ambulances and a rapid response vehicle were reportedly sent to the scene, according to eyewitness reports.

A man in his 60s was taken to hospital by the North West Ambulance Service for treatment.

A spokesman for Lancashire Police said: "When officers attended the scene a man was found collapsed.

"He has been taken to hospital by the ambulance service."

Officers say enquiries are ongoing to establish the circumstances leading up to the incident
