A man with suspected neck injuries had to be cut from a car in Blackpool this afternoon.
Emergency services were called to reports of a collision between a car and motorbike on the Promenade, close to the Hilton Hotel, shortly after 2pm.
Two fire engines from the resort attended and a passenger had to be cut free from the car. Police and paramedics were also called to the scene.
A spokesman for Lancashire Fire and Rescue said: “We got a call from the police at 2.20pm. A man with suspected neck injuries was trapped in the car.
“Firefighters got him out and he was taken to hospital. The other occupants of the car were assessed by paramedics.”
A Lancashire Police spokesman said: “We got a call at 2.05pm about a collision between a yellow Lifan moped and a red Ford Mondeo.”
It is not yet clear how serious the injuries are.
