A man who had been ordered by a court to have no contact with his girlfriend was found in bed with her.

Michael Dando, 32, of Warley Road, North Shore, pleaded guilty to breaching bail.

Blackpool magistrates agreed to rebail him but presiding magistrate, John Boyle, warned: “You must not have any contact with the lady.”

Pam Smith, prosecuting, said Dando had pleaded guilty to two offences of assault and been bailed for sentence. A condition of his bail was that he did not contact his girlfriend, apart from on one occasion with a police officer, when he could collect his belongings from her home.

Dando failed to sign in at the police station and when officers went looking for him on February 21 they found him at his girlfriend’s Blackpool home.

Kathryn Jamieson-Sinclair, defending, said it had been raining and Dando decided to go round to his girlfriend’s home alone to get some dry clothes.
