A woman was left lying injured in the road after a suspected drunk driver was involved in a five-car smash that caused carnage on a Blackpool road.
Two people needed medical treatment following the incident on Hawes Side Lane on Sunday night.
Police said one casualty was reportedly found lying in the middle of the road. A man was also treated for head injuries.
Witnesses reported seeing a car travelling at speed along the road before colliding with a taxi that was sent spinning into several parked cars.
One nearby resident said: “I’m shocked nobody was killed.”
Police were called to the scene at around 10.40pm on Sunday following reports a Vauxhall Zafira had hit four other vehicles.
A silver Ford Mondeo, blue Citroen Saxo, silver Ford EcoSport and a silver Ford Focus Zetec were damaged in the collision.
A Lancashire Police spokesman said: “A 21-year-old female is believed to have suffered a knee injury and a 61-year-old male a head injury in the collision.
“A 35-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of drink-driving and is in police custody.”
