A 53-year-old Colne man has appeared before Burnley magistrates, accused of indecent pictures of children and animal porn offences.

Michael Robin Taylor faces an allegation of possessing an indecent photograph of a child - a total of 129 images - in Barnoldswick, between December 27th, 2007 and September 16th, 2015.

He is also charged with three counts of making an indecent photograph of a child in Barnoldswick between the same dates - 49 photos at Category A, the most serious level, 53 pictures at Category B and 27 images at Category C.

Taylor is accused of possessing an extreme pornographic image portraying an act of intercourse with a live animal - 110 pictures involving a horse, dog, pig and chicken - in Barnoldswick between the same dates.

Taylor, of Sutherland Street, Colne, did not indicate any pleas to the allegations.

His case will be heard at the crown court and he was bailed until August 30th, on condition he does not have unsupervised contact with any child under the age of 18.
