CHART- topping Plan B (pictured right) is coming to Blackpool for a sold-out concert at the Empress Ballroom.
He’s one of the most exiting British music stars of the moment, and his album, The Defamation of Strickland Banks, has sold more than 500,000 copies, boasting massive hits like She Said, which has dominated the UK charts for months.
He was nominated for three Brit awards, and shows no signs of slowing down.
After slogging away as one of the UK’s best underground hip-hop acts, his début album, Who Needs Actions When You Got Words, was released in 2006, to critical acclaim.
He has dipped his toes into acting (starring with Michael Caine in Harry Brown), screenwriting and directing.
He has also collaborated with other artists such as Chase & Status, most notably on the top 10 single end credits.
Plan B, real name Ben Drew, is already in for a busy 2011.
He has a new hip-hop album, The Ballad Of Belmarsh, and is shooting a film version of The Defamation Of Strickland Banks as well as playing an arena tour which brings him to Blackpool on March 4. Even though the show is a sell-out there’s a chance to catch up with the man himself at his official aftershow party at CoCo and Che, on Market Street.
They will be open from 5pm right through until 3am, with sets from DJ Swerve of Kiss FM, Vince Williams and the return of Jason Fubar.
And if that’s not enough, you can win the chance to have a personal meet ‘n’ greet with him. You will receive queue jump, free entry and meet the star for a chat, autograph signing or photo taking.
All you have to do is name one of the awards that Plan B was nominated for at the 2011 Brit Awards.
