Eight-year-old Issy Simpson wowed the judges with her ‘mind reading’ card trick, which saw her correctly predict Simon Cowell’s seven of diamonds out of a pack of cards with a variety of names and words written on them.

Audiences were stunned when she revealed Simon’s chosen card was also the one that contained his name.

Judge Amanda Holden called her performance ‘absolutely magic and fantastic’, while Simon said she would make a fitting star of a J.K. Rowling novel.

The Harry Potter superfan achieved second place in the talent show, losing out on the grand prize to musician Tokio Myers, who performed a dramatic remix of Rag’n’Bone Man’s ‘Human’.

Issy, who placed just ahead of comedian Daliso Chaponda, congratulated Tokio with a hug after he was named the winner.
