COULD you be sitting next to George Clooney on Saturday night?
The Lytham rumour mill has gone into over-drive with claims on Twitter (of course as yet unverified) the Hollywood star has purchased a ticket to sit in the pews of St Joseph’s RC Church, Ansdell, to watch the BBC Symphony Orchestra Players.
There has also been wild speculation the star has been spotted in the picturesque village of Wrea Green – although it has been confirmed he’s yet to enjoy a pint in village pub The Grapes.
JLS singer Aston Merrygold is also reportedly in town, alongside regular Blackpool visitor Bill Roache – Ken Barlow in Coronation Street – and footballer Gary Neville.
But one celebrity who is in town is former Formula 1 star turned BBC-presenter David Coulthard, who was snapped checking out the giant bubbles on Fairhaven Lake by fan David Turner.
And there are rumours flying around about where the world’s most famous golfing star, Tiger Woods, is staying – with suggestions he is flying in each day from a Lake District home, or possibly renting a property just seconds from the clubhouse at Royal Lytham and St Annes.
