The boss of the Dicconson Terrace firm is named in the services to accounting and finance category and will find out if she has won at the awards ceremony at the International Suite of Manchester’s Mercure Piccadilly Hotel.

Suzie said: “I was very pleased to find out I was a finalist. With my background in industry, rather than private practice, I knew Brooks Accountants could be different and provide small businesses with services far beyond those that were being offered by other firms.

"Regardless of the outcome on the 19th, our reward is seeing our clients’ businesses grow and become successful.”

The awards, from Creative Oceanic, aim to celebrate the achievements of British women including female entrepreneurs, civil servants, charity founders amongst other professionals, whose hard work, talent and commitment is often under-represented.

They also intend to provide a platform for women to inspire others, particularly younger women.
