ALL mums think their baby is the cutest - but in Kayleigh Higgins’s case, it’s official.
Her five-month-old son, Logan Grice, from South Shore, has been crowned the cutest baby on the Fylde coast.
Logan was picked from more than 150 local youngsters to scoop the top prize in The Gazette’s Christmas Cuties competition.
After a week of photographic sessions at Tesco Extra Blackpool, all the delightful entries were featured in a supplement in The Gazette and readers voted for the cutest picture.
Logan – whose dad is Alex Grice – was voted the winner and mum Kayleigh was given gift vouchers to treat him to extra presents for Christmas, along with a large, beautifully framed canvas of his winning portrait.
Kayleigh, 19, of Ivy Avenue, said: “I just thought it would be nice to enter the competition.
“When I was little, I won the Cool Kids competition in The Gazette.
“I went to Asda and had my photo taken.
“So I just liked the idea of Logan being in the Christmas Cuties competition.
“I was really excited when Logan won and really surprised – I hadn’t expected it at all.
“All the family were really pleased too.
“He’s my mum’s first grandchild and my gran’s first great-grandchild, so they were over the moon.
“They’re really proud of him. We all are.
“He is such a happy baby. He’s the best, an absolute angel. Logan is just always so content which is especially good when it comes to sleeping through the night.
“He does have a very cheeky little smile, which people say is cute.
“My mum says he looks like her great grandad!
“When he had his photo taken, he was wearing an elf long-sleeved top and his little elf boots.
“He was really spoiled for Christmas with lots of presents and it was lovely.”
