Libraries are bursting with things to do

There  is a range of seasonal activities aimed at children and families going on  in Lancashire libraries over the festive period.

These include performances by school choirs singing Christmas carols, seasonal stories and visits from Santa Claus.

Other activities includea chance to attend a Christmas performance with sing-along fun, or a pantomime theatre hunt followed by puzzles, games and crafts.

County Coun Peter Buckley (above), Lancashire County Council’s cabinet member for community and cultural services, said: “We’ve got lots of seasonal activities taking place in libraries over the festive period.

“They are designed with families in mind.

“Whatever the weather the holiday brings, families can come along and have fun.”

Many of the activities are free, and ther is no requirement to book in order to take part.

Anyone who lives in the UK can join a Lancashire library, either online or by visiting in person.

Registration is free and there are no age restrictions.
