Lane closed after crash on M55

The incident between junction one, A6, and junction three, for the A585, happened at around 10.45am today.

Lancashire police said four vehicles were involved in the incident.

Fire crews were also called to the scene and the inside lane of the motorway was closed while officers dealt with the incident.

Recovery services were called to the scene and the carriageway was cleared with all lanes re-opened by 11.40am.

Lancashire Police were unable to give details of any injuries.
