Lancashire man wanted for gaming machine thefts

A 28-year-old man from Blackpool is wanted by police in connection with a number of gaming machine thefts and money laundering.

Ian Sparkes, of Grasmere Road, is believed to have committed a series of offences across the country between January 2016 and January this year.

He is described as white, 6ft tall and of slim build. He has a scar on the back of his head.

Sparkes has links to the Blackpool and Oldham areas.

Det Con Mark Riley, of Blackpool Police, said: “Sparkes is wanted for numerous thefts all over the country where he has specifically targeted gaming machines.

“We would ask anyone who knows of his whereabouts or information about his location to contact police.

“I would also urge Sparkes, if he sees this appeal, to hand himself in.”
