Christian Aid is teaching farmers the specialist agriculture knowledge they need to help increase the amount of crops they can grow, while Tree Aid helps families grow trees for nutritious food all year round, fighting hunger and malnutrition.

Appeal organiser Arton Medd said: “This is a magnificent total of which Christian Aid will receive two thirds to support farmers in Burundi in growing more food for their families and in developing their coffee cultivation to earn some money for school fees.

“Tree Aid will receive the other third to promote the growing of fruit trees in dry areas of Ghana.”
