Labour victory in by-election
Labour's Jim Hobson is the new councillor for Bloomfield ward in Blackpool following yesterday's by-election.
Mr Hobson had a landslide victory, securing 450 votes, which was 57 per cent of the total.
The Conservatives polled the second most votes with 150 for their candidate Tony Jones.
Turnout was 18.7 per cent.
The by-election was called after John Jones resigned from Blackpool Council in January.
