A Poulton mum is on a mission to bring high-class, affordable fashion to Fleetwood’s high street.

Jasmine Norton has successfully run her bespoke women’s clothing enterprise online for six months.

Now Jasmine’s Boutique has its own premises, on Lord Street – in the previous home of home and giftwear store Plush, which had been running in the town centre for almost 10 years.

Jasmine’s Boutique sells affordable ladies “on trend” fashion clothes, in addition to bespoke dresses, which
Jasmine designs herself. They include items for weddings and school proms.

The 22-year-old business graduate – who has a 10-month-old son Noah – said: “I’m a Fleetwood girl, I was born and bred in Fleetwood.

“I felt I wanted my shop to be right in the town centre and Lord Street is the perfect venue.

“The shop has been open for six weeks and has been pretty successful so far.

“Jasmine’s Boutique offers inexpensive luxuries. I’ve tried to keep everything affordable – I think the most expensive dress is £39.

“I’ve had comments from people who see the styles on offer and are pleasantly surprised about how affordable they are. And I’ve got styles to suit a range of age groups, younger styles and more sophisticated and elegant styles.

“If people want a bit of help with advice about what styles might suit them, or ideas, I can help – it’s friendly service with that personal touch.

“There wasn’t really anything offering fashion like this in Fleetwood before, people would have to go to Blackpool or Preston.

“I’m really passionate about fashion and I’m really passionate about Fleetwood.

“I really want to raise the profile of Fleetwood and its high street, with its shop local scheme.

“There’s lot going on in Fleetwood and I think there are new, up-and-coming
businesses now opening in Fleetwood.

“I have taken on an intern and am also going to be taking on an apprentice through a
local scheme.

“It would suit someone interested in a career in fashion – perhaps someone who is taking a gap year, or after university.”

Jasmine’s Boutique is based at 128 Lord Street.
