Owen was recognised for the fantastic contribution he does as part of the Inclusion team at the Trust.

The Trust’s provides a wide range of physical activity programmes to engage all corners of the community. Programmes including Down’s Syndrome Multi-Skills, PAN Ability, Junior PAN Ability and Get Set To Go.

These programmes focus on giving people with all disabilities the chance to engage in regular activity in an environment that makes them feel comfortable.

Lancashire FA also recognised the fantastic work Owen does with amputee football.

Owen helped develop and coach the grassroots/international programme throughout the country.

He is the head coach of the England team, who were successful in June winning the Amp Futbol Cup competition defeating Poland 1-0 in Warsaw.

Owen is now preparing the England team for the EAFF (Euros) championships which takes place from October 1 to October 10 in Instanbul.

Owen Coyle Junior thanked Blackpool FC Community Trust for all the support which saw him scoop Lancashire FA Coach of the Year.

Owen said: “Over the last 18 months, Blackpool FC Community Trust has given me the tools to develop and progress.

“I’m delighted to have won this award and working within the inclusion team has allowed me to give people with disabilities the chance to flourish.”
