Investigation underway after wheelie bin fire in Poulton-le-Fylde

The fire took a hold of the bin in Princess Avenue at 2.55am this morning.

One fire crew from Blackpool Fire Station was called to the incident, where upon arrival discovered the blaze had spread to a window and gutter of a neighbouring home.

Crews extinguished the fire using one hose reel and two breathing apparatus, and were at the scene for around one hour and 15 minutes.

There were no casualties reported and an investigation into the cause of the fire is now underway.
