Welcome to Blackpool!

That’s the message to holidaymakers after the resort’s Tourist Information Centre was revamped to improve the service.

The TIC, which is housed in Festival House on Central Promenade, has been redesigned to allow visitors to see at a glance where to collect tickets, get advice, make enquiries, purchase souvenirs and buy merchandise.

The team of advisors has also been given a new uniform to ensure a smart and professional welcome for customers.

Blackpool Mayor Val Haynes officially launched the new-look centre, which is seen as a vital part of helping ensure Blackpool continues its resurgence in 2015.

Around 85,000 people visited the TIC, operated by VisitBlackpool, last year.

Alan Cavill, Blackpool Council’s director of place, said: “What we want to offer at our Tourist Information Centre is world class customer service.

“The redesign will help us to provide that and create a much improved experience for our visitors. The Tourist Information Centre staff are experts at ensuring you have the best time when you come to Blackpool.”
