The event, starting at noon, at the Clifton Arms, is a gathering of former and serving members of the regiment.

Although the north west was not a recruiting area for the regiment, battalions served at Weeton Barracks during the 1980s, with many members settling in the area after
service. The reunion will include a raffle in aid of charity Care4Casualties. There will also be music and entertainment.

Organiser Ray Kennedy said: “Having attended our annual reunion in Shrewsbury, I was amazed to find out how many ex-soldiers and serving soldiers from my regiment have settled in the Fylde area. I decided it was time to organise a
reunion for the North West.”
