Police will be staying vigilant as people protesting Blackpool Football Club owner Karl Oyston have vowed to march down the Promenade.

The protest is set to begin today at 1pm, when football fans will make their way from the Comedy Carpet on Blackpool Promenade to Blackpool Football Club on Bloomfield Road in time for the highly-anticipated Blackpool v Fleetwood match.

Police have urged people hoping to see the Blackpool v Fleetwood match to arrive in good time, as officers will be carrying out increased security checks at the stadium gates.
