The beautiful colours of autumn and the sights of animals preparing for a long winter have delighted young and old on the Fylde over the past few days.
In Blackpool’s Stanley Park the swans have returned to the UK early, signaling a bitter winter according to experts.
However, few could be anything but delighted to see the majestic birds back on the water. Meanwhile, strollers were busy avoiding scores of squirrels busily collecting food for the winter.
However, the pleasant autumnal weather is not set to last.

Until then, lovers of the outdoors are content to enjoy the mild weather, the beautiful hues of the autumnal leaves and to watch nature stocking up its larder ready for the cold blast of winter.
