The death is not being treated as suspicious and police are now trying to trace anyone who may be able to identify the man.

He is described as having a large build and cropped greying hair, and is believed to be aged between 50-70 years. A key fob was recovered from his clothing with the name ‘Gary’ written on it.

Detective Inspector Bev Mason, of Blackpool CID, said: “We are trying to establish who this poor man is and I would appeal to anyone who can help us to contact us.

“He must have been staying locally because he had a key in his pocket.
